Ale Cifuentes was born in Santiago, Chile. She went to film school and in 2003 moved to Buenos Aires, where she worked with the best advertising directors from Argentina and the entire world as a 1st AD specialized in actor´s skills, working in 350 Tv Commercials and in more than 10 different countries.
After 15 years, in 2018, she decided to start a career as a Director herself.
In 2018, she directed “Sky Low Cost Zone”, which was shortlisted in Cannes that year and won a Bronce in “Ojo de Iberoamérica” and 11 awards in “Festival Achap”, the most awarded film presented.
She loves to work with professional actors, but also finds a particular charm in working with non professional, trying to bring out the most natural performance from them, usually delivering surprising results.
Currently, she lives between Chile and Argentina.
