Andy Shakespeare began his career as an assistant director to major advertising and film directors. He then worked as an editor and post-producer. His experience in the different areas has given him a very complete training, in which storytelling, directing actors, photography and editing, determine his cinematographic style.
He has worked for different advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, TBWA, Wunderman, Ponce, David, VML Y&R, BBDO, DDB, McCann, Rapp, as well as for different national and international brands such as Unilever, Cervecería Quilmes (AB InBev), Telefónica, Telecentro, La Caja, Noblex, Axe, Jumbo, Knorr, Ala, Cif, Nestle, Maggi, DirectTv, among others.
David’s “Perdedores” (Losers) campaign for Noblex Argentina won a Golden Lion at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.
The advert, “Unamos la mesa” (Let’s join the table), by Urban-Italian for Knorr, won a Lápiz de Bronce (Bronze Pencil) TV Award in 2020.
